The Protection Philosophy
of ❏ Be mathematically sound, force the defense into MATCHUP challenges.
the S ATION
EM ❏ Attack the defense both horizontally and vertically.
YST
This Protection is based on:
LAN
1. The use of multiple formations to attack the space on the field;
therefore limiting the number of defenders that are in the box.
2. The use of simple concepts allow the lineman to become very good at them.
EXP
3. The use of base plays run from a variety of sets and motions .
1. Match protection to number of rushers.
2. Dictate where the rush comes from.
3. Create a clean launch point.

PROTECTION RULES
The passing game is the explosive component of any
offense. The principal behind our concept is to dictate
the number of rushers and where they can pressure
you from. By doing this we force the defense to match-
up their personnel which causes their players to have
to defend more space. Having to occupy and control
added space helps to equalize talent levels.
