This document proposes a mobile phone holder design that increases airflow to reduce heating during charging. It would have an increased surface area compared to placing a phone directly on a flat surface. The design was modeled in Fusion 360 considering a typical phone size of 5.5 inches. The model was exported to STL format and converted to a printable GCODE file using Cura 4.5 software. The conclusion is that increasing the airflow surface area through this design would improve convective heat transfer and resolve heating issues during charging.

CHARGING • We all are facing the heating issue while we are charging our smartphones. • When we charge our smartphones we generally put smartphones on flat surface due which air can’t flow through that surface. Hence resulting in less heat transfer between suface and atmosphere. • Solution for this is problem is that we have to increase the surface area of air flow so that Rate of heat transfer will increase. • According to Fourier’s law , • Q= kA(dT/dx) • So, Q is directly proportional to area of heat transfer, So By increasing the area of heat transfer we can increase the rate heat transfer. 3-D MODEL VIEWS

STEPS USED FOR 3-D MODELLING
• Designed the 3-D model on Fusion 360 By considering the
general Dimension of smartphones i.e. 5.5 inch • After designing the model Exported that file into .stl format then converted it into printable format using cura 4.5 that is in .gcode format • Conclusion:- I have increased the air flow surface area due to which convective heat transfer rate increased and heating issue is resolved while charging.
