Introduction
Difference between inanimate and animate objects is that later move,
respond to their environment and show changes in their body
functions.
These properties of animate objects, in a general sense called
behaviour.
In animals and men the behaviour is controlled by the nervous system.
Behaviour of organisms is studied: Psycology.
The interaction between environmental stimuli and physiological
functions of the body is studied in the field of psychophysiology.

Behavioural study
Obvious way to study behaviour is to measure the electrical signals in
the brain and the nervous system that control the behaviour.
However, ,the catch is EEG reflects the result of many processes that
occur simultaneously in the brain.
Only events that involves larger area of the brain such as epileptic
seizures and tumours can be identified by the brain.
Mental disorders cannot be diagnosed from Electroencephalogram.

Psychophysiological Measurements
Many body functions including
blood pressure, perspiration and
salivation are controlled by
autonomous nervous system.
ANS, normally cannot be
controlled voluntarily but is
influenced by external stimuli
and emotional states of the
individual.
