Hazard Household Product

Hazardous materials can be silent killers. Almost
every household and workplace has varying
amounts of chemicals that, if spilled or combined,
will cause great harm and even death.
TYPICAL PLACES HAZARDOUS MATERIALS
ARE FOUND IN THE HOME:
Kitchen
oven cleaners, drain cleaners, ammonia, bleach

Laundry
 Clorox, spot removers, cleaners

   gasoline, solvents, pesticides, paints, paint removers

Cleaning household product manufacture don’t want
to tell you that most of the product contain
carcinogens which is a substance capable of causing
cancer in living tissue.
SODIUM HYDROXIDE
Found in: Oven cleaners and drain openers.
Sodium hydroxide is extremely corrosive: If it touches
your skin or gets in your eyes, it can cause severe
burns. Routes of exposure are skin contact and
inhalation. Inhaling sodium hydroxide can cause a
sore throat that lasts for days
Ways that hazardous materials can enter
the body:

 Inhalation; through breathing, most rapid way

Absorption; through skin or eyes
 Ingestion; swallowing
Injection; penetrating skin

 Lysol is one of the many product that contain carcinogens and can be
harmful to the consumer in my ways. If this harsh chemicals hit the
skin by anyone in the family the chemicals inside this product they go
directly into your bloodstream then they have access to all of the body’s
organs and can easily cause damage.
 One doctor claimed that overexposure to Lysol is the reason behind
some people getting liver cancer.  
Keep children away from cleaning product
Children’s underdeveloped bodies are still growing
and should not be exposed to things that can harm
them because it will have a much more serious effect
than adult. Their bodies are still growing and
dangerous variables, like bleach can have a serious
effect on them.
Mixing product
Baking soda + vinegar
-Baking soda is basic and vinegar is acidic
-vinegar causes baking soda to foam up; if stored in a closed
container, the mixture can explode.

 Hydrogen peroxide + vinegar

-Combining them creates peracetic acid, which is potentially
toxic and can irritate the skin, eyes, and respiratory system.
 Bleach + ammonia
-Together they produce chloramine which can cause
shortness of breath, chest pain, burning ,and watery eyes.

Bleach + rubbing alcohol

-kidnappers use to knock out their victims
-this combination can be irritating and toxic
Conclusion
The cleaning product that are found in almost every
home are very unhealthy for the consumers and their
family.
When trying to avoid these danger people will have to
switch to homemade solution since they are the only
product that are harmless to the human.
