    •Born: September 25, 1897
    New Albany Mississipi
    Son of:
    •Murray Charles Falkner
    •Maud Butler Falkner
    •Much of his early work was poetry,
    but he became famous for his novels
    set in American South.
    • He had three siblings
    •His religion was Presbyterian.
    •Faulkner entered Oxford
    Highschool but never earned a
    Highschool Diploma.
    •His Surname was originally
    “Falkner” but he changed it to
    “Faulkner” to appear more british
    •On 1919 Faulkner enrolled at the
    university of Mississipi as a special
    student.
    •On 1929 Faulkner lived with Lida
    Estelle Franklin Oldham his wife at
    Oxford until his death.
    •He have 3 daughters and 1
    stepson
    •He died on July 6, 1962 at
    Byhalia,Mississipi

    Miss Emily Grierson is an only only
    child of controlling father who
    drove all away of her suitors. When
    Emily’s father died she was left as a
    destitute spinters.

    After Emily’s father’s death.
    Emily’s sweetheart abandoned her,
    The townspeople started to
    spectulate that Emily was “Crazy”.

    Emily began courting Homer
    Barron a foreman. He claimed to be
    disinterested in marriage. Some of
    the residents were offended by the
    match between an
    Aristocratic and “Yankee”.

    • Emily went to the druggist, bought
    rat poison, and refused to specify
    what it was for. People assumed that
    she was going to killed herself but
    she did not.

    As the courtship went on. People
    assumed that she and Homer were
    married. Homer left the town and
    he returned. Emily herself was not
    seen again in 6 months.

    After Homer’s dissappearance,
    Emily grew even more exclusive.
    Her servant Tobe did all of her. It is
    clear to the residents that Emily
    and tobe did not talk eachother.

    the remains of Homer bridal suite.
    The room is covered in dust and
    appears to have remained untouched
    for decades.
