Future Scope

In the future scope of this project we aim to analyze the Back propagation
algorithm for detection of diabetic retinopathy in a neural network, over here we
are talking about the transmission of information, and that information relates to
the error produced by the neural network when it makes a guess about data.

Back Propagation:

The algorithm is used to effectively train a neural network through a method called
chain rule. In simple terms, after each forward pass through a network, back
propagation performs a backward pass while adjusting the model’s parameters
(weights and biases).
When the neural network is initialized, weights are set for its individual elements,
called neurons. Inputs are loaded, they are passed through the network of
neurons, and the network provides an output for each one, given the initial
weights. Back propagation helps to adjust the weights of the neurons so that the
result comes closer and closer to the known true result.
Conclusion

In this proposed research work, we have explored and developed novel

computerized techniques to segment the retinal blood vessels and detect the
presence of exudates in retinal images automatically, which serve as a clinical aid for
the diagnosis of DR in mass screening programs. This method has proved itself to be
efficient for image segmentation and classification by identifying the blood vessels
and detecting the exudates in retinal images. The precise extraction of the retinal
vascular structure forms the backbone of numerous automated computer aided
systems for screening and diagnosis of cardiovascular and ophthalmologic diseases.
