Adaptive or Assistive Technology
 Text to speech technology
 There isn’t really a specific you need to buy. If you already have a laptop or a
computer then it will work. But as it gets used more, its better to buy a software
program that does this specifically.
 Google has this function, that it speaks what is typed in the text box. There are
also apps that can be downloaded to help the ones who have trouble.
 The prices vary on which program is chosen
 You can buy them here!

EMERGING TECHNOLOGY
 Online classroom
 Zoom (free)
 Skype (free)
Because of everything that has happened just this year, I think the new emerging
technology in classrooms that will be used are video calls. They are being used now as
it is the only way to learn and distance yourself. It is also called virtual learning.
Again, nothing super expensive is needed for this way of learning. The most would be
some sort of computer with a camera and microphone. Also, if you already don’t have
it, then a skype, zoom account or what ever the teacher provides, is needed.

 The biggest emerging piece of technology I wanted to talk about was artificial
intelligence.
 I don’t think that they are quite available for public purchase yet. But I am
sure they will be expensive
 Machines who are able to walk and talk and think, will be joining us very soon
in the classrooms.
 Perhaps as a tutor for children who have trouble
 Also could help children with disabilities as artificial intelligence will more than MAIN MENU
likely have a test-to-speech setting
INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY
 3D printing has been an up and coming piece of technology in schools.

n-education/
 It has been said that the use of these in schools can create creative children
as well as bringing a form of new art into the education system
 Perhaps one day, a 3D printing class could be chosen as an elective or for free
time.
 This type of printing also gives kids a lot of hands-on time which is great
because kids have need to just touch everything
