Text Masking Effect in PS

Select a target photo.

 So here’s mine
Drag and drop the photo in your
workplace.
 Trace the target to remove the background.
Use the quick selection tool, after you trace
click the layer mask.
I am going to clean the hair of my
target.
 Right click on the layer mask and select
‘Select and Mask’
 Select the 2nd brush on the upper left side and
brush it on the edges
After that we’re going to add some
background, preferably white.
Just incase we need the selection again, duplicate the
layer 0. Simply hit Ctr+J and rename it ‘Background’. Move
it below the layer 1
Select your layer 0 and change the size of it
exactly the same way. Not too large nor too
small.
After that go to Text tool and make sure
that you selected the vertical type tool.

 Now think of a word that is somehow

connected to your photo. Make sure that the
font are simply and bold.
 Make sure that your word are bigger than
your target. But check if the word is still
inside the photo
Like this
Make sure that your text color is black. After that grab the
eraser tool and remove all the items inside the round letters
and everything that on the left side of the word.
After that hold the Ctrl and click to the
layer text above your layer 0
Then go to Select-Modify-Expand set the expanded area to
13. You’ll noticed that the selection moves a little on the
original size. And click Alt + Delete or bakspace
Okay, now lets duplicate the Layer 0 and put it on
the top of the word ‘LOVE’

 After that right click on the layermask and

click delete Layer Mask
 And then right click on the photo and create
clipping mask.
