Observation
In this assignment, we had to observe the
principles of design in various natural
elements such as fruits, vegetables and
leaves. We had to draw those objects and
write down the principles of design thus
observed by us.

In this assignment, we had to create six
illustrations showcasing the use of negative
space in different ways.

In this assignment, we had to draw
perspective drawings in one point, two
points and three points respectively.

We had to observe the proportions of the
multiple objects and draw them on paper.

We had to create textures on different
themes such as harsh, constant, infinite and
one on our own name.
Mask
We had to create a mask based on our theme
we chose during the classes. My theme was
typography.
End-term Assignment
Product
In this assignment, we had to create a
product on a particular theme. My theme
was typography. I had been making
typographical posters for a while, so I
decided to create a book featuring my
posters. I designed the cover and layout of
the book in this assignment.
Also, we had to create theme board, color
board, mood board, inspiration board and
story board for our product too. Here on the
right is my story board.

inside”.
Conclusion and Learning
These assignments helped me in learning the elements and principles
of design, which is an absolute essential knowledge in order to practice
good design. It helped me in admiring the beauty of nature and
improving my observational skills. It also helped me in improving my
drawing skills. Certainly these learnings would help me in future at both
professional and personal levels.
