• The real color of the sun is white
• Hotter stars are more blue in color, and cooler stars are more red.
• The Sun appears very bright because it is much closer to us than other stars
• (astronomers call stars either “giants” or “dwarfs” – the normal stars are “dwarfs”) This makes it
appear yellow in color
PHOTOSPHERE it is the surface of the sun that is visible to our eyes.. This is made up
of gas.

SUNSPOTS – it is located at the photosphere. It is caused by the strong magnetic fields

within he sun
