What is the gender equality?

 According to Koffi Annan “ gender equality is more


than a goal of itself, it’s a precondition for meeting the
challenges of reducing poverty, promoting sustainable
development an d building goal governance”.
 Gender equality is achieved when men and women

enjoy the same rights and opportunities across all


sectors of society.
 Every single one of us want a peaceful world so why is
it that gender equality is still as struggle for us to
achieve.
 However the importance of gender equality in the
society is still underestimated .Women and girls face
discrimination regardless their national and religious
background and even their professional skills.
WHY??!!!
3 Ways of promoting gender equality
 There is a need to be aware of the challenges that
women and girls are still facing in our society due to
gender equality.
 1.Fight gender stereotypes.
 2. Talk about gender issues in an appropriate age.
 3.Use media and game changer.
 Gender inequality is still a huge issue today , where
males are considered superior than females
 Some examples of gender inequality :
 1.Forbidden from driving.
 2. right to violence.
 3.right to travel.
 4.violance
 5.feminiation of poverty
 Women is a human ,she isn’t better, she isn’t
stronger, she isn’t responsible, she isn’t
creative than men.
