Education - Must graduate with a DVM degree from an
accredited school and passing the NAVLE. Then, a one year internship, a three to four-year residency in an approved zoological medicine program, secure letters of recommendation, and take a two-day board examination.

Education - Must have a strong background in mathematics and
bio science. Then get an Associates Degree from an accredited program and pass the National Veterinary technician Exam (NVTE), Certification requires a degree in the field, lots of work experience, and completed case logs and reports before being eligible to take the exam.
