Outline
 What is an Outline?
An Outline is a ‘plan’ for your academic writing paper.
It helps to organize your thoughts and arguments.
A good outline helps to develop your thoughts of a research.

The structure of an Outline includes:

(i) Introduction
(ii) Body
(iii) Conclusion
Introduction of an outline
The introduction should contain your thesis statement or the topic of your
research as well as the purpose of your study.

You may include the reason why you choose that particular topic or simply the
significance of your research topic.

Your introduction should orient your readers to the major points that will be
covered in the rest of the paper.
Body of an outline
The body of your paper is where you will be presenting all your arguments to
support your thesis statement.

You may have three or more sub-points to support your thesis statement.
 Conclusion of an outline
The conclusion is where you form a summary of all your sub –points to arrive at
your final claim.

Explain and reiterate why you have ended up with the said claim.

In addition, reword the thesis of the study and highlight general
recommendations.
