Waste Generation

Impact:
• Waste construction such as the steel, broken bricks, excess soils.
• Fuel leaking form the machine and the vehicle.
 Mitigation measures:
Before construction:
• The contractors should ensure effective control of materials from design to
construction stage
• The designer should co-ordinate dimensions between materials specified during
design and those procured for use at sites.
• Waste hauliers authorized or licensed to collect specific categories of waste.
During construction:
• Use of prefabricated elements.
• Minimize windblown litter and dust during transportation by either covering trucks
or transporting waste in enclosed containers.
• Maintaining the vehicle and machine regularly such as inspect the fuel tank of
vehicle and the overall condition of vehicle and machine.
