• The farms that are located on the outskirts of big cities produce all
kinds of fresh fruits , vegetables. These are sent of the cities on a daily
basis.
• This type of farming is called truck farming.
• Mainly, this type of farming is used for commercial purposes.
• Flowers are also cultivated in truck farms. This cultivation of flowers is
known as horticulture.
• This type of farming is found everywhere in the world, especially in
developed or advanced countries, like USA, Canada, etc.

pesticides free.

• The development of national highways in India and efficient motor
truck facilities is recent years has helped his considerably. Truck
farming becomes prosperous in those regions where climate, soil and
other factors of production assure better yields than the average, and
where labour is cheap. Through truck fanning vegetable surplus in

investment than conventional commercial farming, and generally
offers a viable market
• It is in some instances considered hobby farming, but the  business
model that can be significantly profitable and sustainable.
• It is an extension of their pastime, to fully commercial market
gardening as the main or sole income stream. The latter requires the
most discipline and business sense.
