THE MODES • From the dawn of

INQUIRY age, man has been
continuously trying to
acquire knowledge and
seek answers to his
questions in life.
THE MODES 1. Authoritarian Mode.
OF HUMAN - Man seeks knowledge by
INQUIRY referring to persons whom
he considers as qualified
sources or producers of
knowledge.
THE MODES 2. Mystical Mode.
OF HUMAN -a person gets knowledge
INQUIRY from prophets, divines,
mediums, gods and other
persons considered to have
knowledge and supernatural
powers.
THE MODES 3. Rationalistic Mode.
OF HUMAN - Is based on rationalism as a
INQUIRY school of thought. In this
mode the knowledge-seeker
uses his reasoning power
and does not just accept or
depend on another source.
FOUR 1. By Tenacity “sticking to
METHODS truth”
OF 2. By Authority
KNOWING 3. By Intuition “it agrees
AND with reason, it seems
BELIEVING reasonable and it
appears to be true”
4. By Science
SCIENTIFIC • An objective and orderly
METHOD investigation of empirical
phenomenon. It is also
defined as the systematic
investigation of objectively
verifiable material
phenomenon.
SCIENTIFIC • Its tools are rationality,
METHOD experimentation,
objectivity, and the free
exchange of reliable
information. It is also
referred to as “heuristic
view” means serving to
discover or reveal.
