SCREEN PAINTING

SCREEN PRINTING: MATERIAL USED TO PRINT

1. Porous mesh. 2. Squeegee. 3. Screen

PROCESS OF PRINTING

• First the screen is prepared using a porous

mesh. The area where we don’t want the
colour to print is blocked the rest is open.
• The number of screens depends on the
colours that we need to print. The print paste
is then applied on the fabric by a squeegee.
• Then we move the squeegee across the
screen, forcing the print to paste through the
screen and into the fabric.
ROTARY SCREEN

• This is the most popular

method of printing and the
most economical printing
method in the textile
printing industry. It also
has high production rates.
