Difference of Equipment between Tools

• Equipment usually denotes a set


of tools that are used to achieve a specific
objective. 
• Tools are used in particular fields or
activities that may have different
designations such as "instrument", "utensil",
"implement", "machine", "device," or
"apparatus".
Equipment needed in Configuration
• NIC (Network Interface Card) - provides the physical
connection between the network and the computer workstation.
• Switch - is a device that channels incoming data from any of
multiple input ports to the specific output port that will take it
toward its intended destination.
• Router - is a device that forwards data packets along networks.
The router is connected to at least two networks and are
located at gateways.
