INTRODUCTION

1. Project is represented in the form of a network for the purpose of

analytical treatment to:
• obtain solution for scheduling and controlling the activities.

2. Critical path method (CPM):

• step-by-step project management technique
• approach to project scheduling that breaks the project into several work
tasks
• displays them in a flow chart
• calculates the project duration based on estimated durations for each task.
CONCLUSION AND
RECOMMENDATION
• The critical path method is one of the most frequently used and most
effective techniques in project planning.
• Critical path method helps keep project on track and on budget,
providing visibility into the most important tasks of the project.
• Traditionally drawn by hand, now it is possible to find the critical path
in seconds with project management software.
• However the manual method still need to be learnt to make sure the
critical path method can be done to be compared with software
method.
• This should be done because technical error could occur in computer.
