THE THEME DEALS WITH THE TYPICAL DANCES OF HUILA

GEOLOCATION 1 The Department of Huila is one of the thirty-

two departments that, together with Bogotá,
Capital District, make up the territory of the
Republic of Colombia. It is located in the
southwest of the country, being part of the
Andean region. It has an area of ​19,890 km²,
which represents 1.74% of the national
territory. Its capital is the city of Neiva and it
is politically and administratively divided into
37 municipalities.

Huila limits to the North with the departments of
Tolima and Cundinamarca, to the East with the
departments of Meta and Caquetá, to the South
GEOLOCATION 2 with the departments of Caquetá and Cauca, and
to the West with the departments of Cauca (strip
of territory in dispute) and Tolima.

The importance of this project is to make people outside our department known; our
culture and traditions, the beauty of our dances such as bambuco and san juanero, the
fun of our parties representing our culture. As well as to make known, to our
countrymen, data that they may not know and remind them why we should feel proud
of seeing Huilenses.
