CARPAL SULCUS

The anterior or palmar surface of the


wrist is concave fro m side to side and forms
the carpal suLcus (Figs. 4-2 and 4-3).
The flexor retinacuLum, a trong fibrous
band,attache medial ly to the pisiform
andhook of hamateand laterally to the
tuber­cles of the scaphoid and trapezium.

reti­naculum. The median nerve and the

canal .
