INTRODUCTION
NAME OF THE COMPANY & AND NATURE OF IT’S OPERATION:

1) Super Engineering Company is a multi-locational light manufacturing


company , located in Hyderabad (biggest unit), Pondicherry and Indore.

2) This company is using Budgetary Control System which mainly focus on


production and expenses budget.

3) Company is using “Autocratic style of leadership.”


“DILEMMA”

• The company is having problem with its Indore plant, as the


other units are working well.

• This plant is using improper Budgetary Control system.

STRENGTH:- WEEKNESSES:-
 Operating at multi-locations.  Other budgets are over looked.
 Good HR policies.  Discontinuity in workers
 Budgetary control system is productivity.

share.
“MAIN CHARACTER”
 Mr. P Manohar is working with the company since last 8 years.
 Mr. P Manohar is transferred from the Hyderabad Plant to resolve the issues
relating to Indore Plant, who is a plant manager.
 Mr. P Manohar follows “Autocratic Leadership Style”.
 He showed full authority by instructing the employees to reduce expenses by 5%
and increase the productivity by 10%.
 Due to not meeting the budget targets, Mr. P Manohar suspended two employees.
 As a result, new budgeted figure exceeded to 8% within six months.
 Unfortunately, the productivity level fell below as earlier, when he is
called back.

 Q1. Analysis the type of organisational climate created by Manohar at Indore Plant?
Ans:- 1) As an autocratic leader he gave less authority to its employee.
2) The environment he created is very strict and result oriented.
3) He does not give any chance upon error and punish quickly.
 Why was there is a drop in the productivity at the unit after Manohar left it?
Ans:- The employees under Manohar were working under fear of ‘suspension’ as a result the
productivity goes up but when he left the plant then the became casual again.
