BUSINESS CONDITIONS: Brazilian manufacturer of TVs, DVDs and Audio. We supply Ceramic
Discs and SMD ceramic capacitors for all lines of products.
KEY ACTIONS: Maintain our share, and increase if possible our share of SMD Ceramics and Disc.
Need to start selling Tantalum. Need to sell other Products such as KED Products for DVD´s.
NEEDS: Keep constant visits to engineering Dept. obtain competitive prices compared to Epcos and
Eagle. Need to Homologate Tantalum- Oxicap.
BUSINESS CONDITIONS: Biggest Brazilian manufacturer of TVs, in 2005 produced 1.6M TVs and
have an expectation to produce 1.8M in 2006. They also produce DVD´s and Audio Equipment.
Currently we supply 100% disc ceramics. We have supplied SMD and Box Film in the past, but prices
got too bad and we gave up on these items.
KEY ACTIONS: Pay attention because a lot of Chinese manufacturer (Capatronics and ATC) are
offering ceramic capacitors with prices a lot lower than ours. Need to visit engineering department to
design in products and start selling more AVX products besides discs.
NEEDS: Visit more often engineering department with FAE. Try to sell more AVX products .

BUSINESS CONDITIONS: Jabil IBE bought Old Philco company at the end of the last year . Philco
was an old Brazilian manufacturer of TVs, DVD´s and Audio. It was recently purchase by Gradiente.
They produced 880k TVs, 390k DVD´s and No Audio for 2005. Currently we supply Disc and SMD
ceramics and 1 item of Box Film.
KEY ACTIONS: We are qualifying 4 switch mode Disc Capacitors to substitute Murata’s. Increase our
share of SMD Ceramics, which currently is 40%, verifying with buyer the target price of their main
supplier, Eagle.
NEEDS: Meet the target price of the SMD ceramics. Visit Engineering Department with FAE. Need to
sell more AVX Products.
BUSINESS CONDITIONS: This Siemens Plant is located S.Paulo area and there is also a plant in
Manaus that was recently installed. They manufacture clusters and auto radios. This Siemens plant
has also gotten the RECOF approval so they do not pay taxes on imports since they will export all
their production . We are currently selling to them Connectors and Box Film and some SMD
Tantalum. Siemens-VDO has started producing auto-radios in Manaus (200kunits/year).
KEY ACTIONS: Need to increase share in Elco Connectors, Box Film and Tantalums and other AVX
Products. Big Opportunities with this customer. Need to get in the Design in since they are doing
design in in Brazil.
NEEDS: Need to visit Engineering Department with FAE more often and need to participate in Design
In. Need to support on good Transfer Prices to compete against EPCOS.

BUSINESS CONDITIONS: Invensys is a CEM and has plants in Sao Paulo, where they assembly
electronic panels for white good products and great part to Multibras, part of Whirpool group. Need to
finish qualifying All Varistors and start supplying to them.
Engineering is based in Sao Paulo, but AVL for most of the items must be approved at Multibras first.
Plant also in Manaus (North) and Rio Grande do Sul (South).
KEY ACTIONS: They have a high volume of items and we have received BOM with SMD ceramics,
Box Films, Varistors and Discs, and we have done crosses. Samples are under qualifications .
NEEDS: Keep pushing Multibras engineering to give green light to Invensys start using AVX varistors
already approved at Multibras, then provide quote and start commercial negotiation with Invensys.

approvals can be done locally. Design of new products is done locally.
KEY ACTIONS: This customer has many opportunities and can be easily US$250K per year customer.
We have been qualified to start selling Film and we are waiting for the order since presently they are
buying from EPCOS.
NEEDS: FAE support to visit Engineering Department at Ciclotron and identify more opportunities –
We have received BOM and need to finishd crosses and need to get samples and get more AVX
products approved……

BUSINESS CONDITIONS: They manufacture the Window Control Mechanism, Keyless Entry
System, Comfort Module, and Clusters . Negotiation and approvals can be done locally. Design of
new products is done locally.
KEY ACTIONS: This customer has many opportunities and can be easily US$350K per year
customer. We are selling Soft Termination Ceramic SMD and are very happy and want to convert all
SMD to Soft Termination. They are also very interested in using Oxicaps to replace their Aluminum.
NEEDS: FAE support to visit Engineering Department at Kostal and identify more opportunities –
Work with them on Design IN.
BUSINESS CONDITIONS: WW AVX Customer. Automotive Market. Located near S.Paulo area.
They manufacture clusters and electronic fuel injection.
KEY ACTIONS: Europe needs to help us to increase our share in Brazil since all qualifications and
negotiations are done in Europe. They are very interested in buying more Tantalum and Oxicaps. Big
Opportunities with this customer. Interested in buying Elco Connectors 80 pins $1.7M year business.
They are interested in increasing share of Crystals and buying through the US instead of Europe. We
need to get into Marelli Electronics who makes clusters and auto radios.
NEEDS: Need to visit Engineering Department and try to qualify and sell more AVX Products. Need
to be present in negotiations. FAE Need to be present in Design in.
BUSINESS CONDITIONS: HL manufactures goods for the White Goods and belongs to the TECHINVEST Group
division . Other companies of the group are Visiontec (Satellite Receiver), Tecplam (Anti-theft system), Cliptech
(Relays) and Karimex (Distributor). Located in S. Paulo Area.
KEY ACTIONS: They are presently buying SMD Ceramics and Discs and we need to see if they can start buying more
SMD´s and Box Film and other AVX Products. Varistors were approved at Multibrás (Whirpool group) and we will press
them to get these new orders.
NEEDS: Need to go visit their Engineering Department in all the different companies of the group to start selling more
AVX Product. Good Opportunity with this customer. Working to schedule new visit with FAE to Multibras to check
about other components to be approved as a big disc list that Multibras sent only to FAE make crosses and provide
samples!!! We will visit also HL factory to see other opportunities.
BUSINESS CONDITIONS: They produces the satellite receivers in Manaus, using Tecplam structure, however
developments and approvals are done at Jacarei – SP. Purchasing is handled by Cliptech, another company of the
group.
KEY ACTIONS: Visiontec director had asked already purchasing to place orders for all Box Films, but we are facing
some problems with purchasing manager that belongs to Cliptech, other company of the group, and is the responsible
to place the purchasing programs. Get prices and samples for the two crystals they use (EAU 450K) and orders for the
safety, termistors and SMD Ceramic all approved.
NEEDS: Keep pushing Cliptech purchasing to place programs for the new items approved and keep up good
relationship with the Visiontec director to resolve this. FAE needs to visit Engineering depart and participate of Design
In.
