PS DROP KPI IMPROVEMENT:

 An additional feature of R17 “Reestablishments after TRB Resets of UEs in the CELL_DCH State” was tested in order
to improve PS Drop KPI and the result was positive.

 It was implemented in all RNC’s after trial in Jodhpur RNC.

Description:

 Resetting TRBs for UEs in the CELL_DCH state triggers call reestablishments. The call reestablishment function
decreases call drops caused by the TRB resets.

 Switch name: RLFAIL_OR_TRBRST_D2F_RLREEST_SWITCH (D2F Reconfiguration and Reestablishment Switch for

Stable UEs After RL Failures or TRB Reset.
Impact : 

 Call drops caused by TRB resets decrease.

Observation :
 
1) PS drop improved from  0.47 to 0.41%.
2) Drop due to TRB Reset reduced by 81.9%.
3) No major impact observed in other KPI’s.
4) No major impact observed on voice and data traffic.
