Natural resources and
their classification
Natural resources are those means of livelihood of people that are not created by
their labor, but are in nature.
By purpose, resources are divided into groups:
 Food
 Energy
 Raw Materials
 Environmental
The most interesting classification of resources by exhaustibility. By exhaustibility,
resources are divided into exhaustible and inexhaustible.
Inexhaustible resources include three groups of resources:
 Space
 Climatic
 Water

How does human activity
affect resources?
Some examples of human activity:
pollution of soil, water, atmosphere with
pesticides and waste products of society
(plastic, metal, rubber), cutting down
trees, and not recycling are all effects to
resources.
How can we make responsible choices about the
resources we use daily?

 We can use renewable resources.


 We can limit our electricity use by not
keeping the light son when we are not using
them.
 We can save water by turning the faucet off
when weren't using it. . People don't make
good choices with nonrenewable energy.
 People can also stop smoking to save our
environment
 We don't care if our oil or other is gone.

Once people use it all up, there won't be any


more for us and we know that nonrenewable
resources don't come back in our lifetime.
