2. canine Parvoviral diseases .


causes acute gastroenteritis in dog characterized by necrotising
enteritis myocardial necrosis, diarrhoea, dysentery with melena and
dehydration.
Etiology:
Canine Parvovirus of Parvoviridae

3.Rabies
Rabies is a viral disease of animals mainly
affecting carnivores like dogs, wolves, foxes
caused by a lyssa virus and characterized by
encephalitis, and presence of intra cytoplasmic
inclusions in nerve cells and clinically - Drooling of saliva
and moving aimlessly ,eating of non food materials
Etiology
Lyssa virus of Rhabdoviridae family
Bullet shaped, RNA virus

4.Infectious canine hepatitis


it is an infectious viral disease of dogs caused by adenovirus
characterized by necrotic lesions in liver and intra nuclear inclusions in
hepatocytes and clincally-Fever (104 – 106°F), Vomiting, diarrhoea
,Icterus , Conjunctivitis.
Etiology
Mastadenovirus of adenoviridae family

5.Canine distemper
It is an infectious viral disease of dogs caused by a morbilli virus
and characterized by catarrhal and purulent exudate in nasal
mucosa, purulent bronchopneumonia, and vesicular/pustular
dermatitisFever (105-107°F)-
