Separable phrasal verbs

• Separable phrasal verbs can be separated by


an object in the middle.

Eg: Can you turn off the TV?


-Can you turn the TV off?
Inseparable phrasal verbs
• Inseparable phrasal verbs cannot be separated
by an object in the middle.

Eg: I will look after you. (Not: I will look you after.)
