Who was Richard the Lionheart?

• Richard was born on September 8, 1157 the


third son of Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitaine.
• He spent most of his time far away from his
kingdom. He took part in the crusade against
Saladin.
• Richard died during a castle siege.
