Ear Infection

What causes an ear infection?

An ear infection occurs when one of your eustachian

tube becomes swollen or blocked, causing fluid to build
up in your middle ear. Eustachian tubes are small tubes
that run from each ear directly to the back of the
throat.

Impacted Ear Wax
The wax helps protect your canal from
water, infection, injury, and foreign objects.
But too much wax buildup can cause
problems.
This buildup is called impacted earwax.
Special glands in your ear make secretions
that combine with dead skin cells to
form earwax.

Deafness
Deafness is the complete inability to hear
sound.
Deafness and hearing loss have many
causes and can occur at any age.
People can go deaf suddenly as a
complication of a virus, or lose their hearing
over time because of disease, nerve
damage, or injury caused by noise.
