What is a module?
OModule is a set of printed
lectures designed for
independent learning or a
complement instructional
material (Danao, 2000).
Considerations
O Retrenchment
- Def: The reduction of costs or spending in
response to economic difficulty.
- We should include parts which are very
essential.
- i.e. Title, Overview, Objectives, Discussion,
Self-Check Test, References
- Booklet-type module
Considerations
O Riso Printing
- We’re not real printing company
- 1 riso machine only but will cater several
subjects
- Be cautious about the images that we include
in our module
- Our module must be readable and neat
- Put page number, No fancy colors, etc.

- Accuracy
- Beauty
- Creativity

- Our module must be age-appropriate.


BASIC PARTS OF MODULE
 Title
- Should be clear and concise, reflective to the
content.

 Overview/Introduction
- Describes the scope and summarizes the
content and importance of the module.

 Objectives
- Explains the knowledge, skills and attitudes
you want to teach.

 Discussion of the Topics


- From simple to complex ideas. This should
include pictures, diagrams, illustrations,
exercises and hands-on activities.

- Includes self-check tests, exercises or other
means of assessing learning outcomes.

 References
- List of books and guides that you used in
preparing the module.
