INTRODUCTION

After getting an unexpected stroke, Mr. Jordy who has been working as a
truck driver all his life finds himself in coma tied up to tubes. There, he has
visions of his childhood but in a different setting where everything looks
futuristic and out of this world with tablets, smart phones and big screens on
highways.

Now, he needs to adapt to his imaginary environment at his dream by going to

school and learning the way things work from his digital peers and teacher
before he wakes up from coma.
SCENE 1

 Jordy lies in bed with tubes attached to him. He starts to

get colorful visions.
SCENE 2

 As he’s drawn in the storyline of his visions, Jordy wakes

up as a 4th grader in his dreamy setting and his mom
prepares him breakfast while surfing on the internet at her
smart phone. He wonders what is that ‘thing’ she’s
attentively using but doesn’t bother to ask because he’s
late to school.
SCENE 3

 When he takes the bus to school with his backpack full of

notebooks, he’s totally surprised of what he sees in the
class. Students have tablets in their hands while teacher is
presenting some material to them via Smartboard.
SCENE 4

 Since he’s confused, Jordy explains himself to Mrs.

Evelyn

Jordy: Pardon me, Mrs. Evelyn. I got my notebooks with

me, but I’m not sure if I will need them here... What are
those things with flashes?
SCENE 5

Mrs. Evelyn: What do you mean by ‘flashes’, Jordy? Those

are tablets of your digital peers who were born into a world
with new culture, making use of digital tools in every aspect
of their lives. I assigned an activity to them on their ‘flashy’
tablets. They can create their own media through these
devices. You are here just in time, digital native!
SCENE 6

Jordy: I was born in Punxsutawney at Pennsylvania, but my

family is native Alaskans, ma’am.

Mrs. Evelyn: I meant Digital Natives whom you are one of

them, Jordy. Your generation has been influencing each other
through digital platforms since kindergarten!
SCENE 8

Jordy: So what else is up with these Digital Natives, Mrs.

Evelyn?
SCENE 9

Mrs. Evelyn: They are one of the cornerstones of our new

tech-based civilization. Digital Natives are familiar with
technology and computers at an early age, making them
integrated with digital means of service throughout their
lives. I mean Gen-Z, of course. They mainly learn and
communicate through computers, texting and etc.
SCENE 10

Jordy: Whoa! I’ve never thought how huge this phenomenon

could be! I’m lucky to be child at this era, am I right?
S C E N E 11

Mrs. Evelyn: Yes, Jordy. You’re not a digital immigrant,

those who coincide with technology later in their lives.
You’re a native!
SCENE 12

Mr. Jordy wakes up from coma realizing he’s been fallen

asleep for too long. He gets back to his home and think about
the meaning what he saw in his visions at the end.
