What is PTSD?
 Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a psychiatric disorder.

 It occurs after a traumatic event .

COVID-19 Pandemic:
 A new strain of corona virus..

 It turns lives upside down.

 It is the greatest challenge since World War 2.

Risky factors of PTSD:
 Previous traumatic experiences.

 History of abuse : physical, emotional, or sexual.

 History of substance abuse: drugs or alcohol use.

 Lack of social support: a society that produces shame or guilt.

 Ongoing stress.
Symptoms of PTSD:
 Intrusive thoughts: memories, dreams, and vivid flashbacks.

 Avoiding reminders: people, places, activities, objects, and situations.

 Negative thoughts and feelings: fear, anger, or shame.

 Arousal and reactive symptoms: behaving recklessly, self-destruction,


and difficulty sleeping.
Tips to deal with PTSD:
 Feel helpful to your society.

 Exercise indoor and outdoor.

 Support yourself by a healthy lifestyle.

 Get a professional help.


Conclusion:

 Follow the instructions of WHO for mental health during this crisis.

 Try to avoid thinking of the pandemic.

 Resort to activities to entertain and benefit.
