 What does it means? :

Related about good and bad lucky.


 Where did it originate?:

Ancient Belief Koran


 What are the Historical Details? :

Basically, religious origins.


And then what happens in Ecuador?

Here we have a similar superstition


called “Mal de Ojo”.

2. Black Animals
 What does it means? :

Fear about black animals evil creatures

 Where did it originate?:

Ancient Egypt Kingdom Cats were

worshiped many, many years ago.


When they stopeed to do, gods sent evils as
black cats.
What are the Historical Details? :
God send crows to teach Cain how to bury Abel’s
body.

And then what happens in Ecuador?

Here we have a little similar fear about the black


cats, but it is too much less strong than Egyptians.

3. Spilling salt
 What does it means? :

Spill salt expensive bad luck

Throwing salt protect from devil


 Where did it originate?:

Ancient Egypt salt as


expensive product and trade.
What are the Historical Details? :
A long time ago, working with salt was a good
and well payed job. If you spilled salt you would
seem as a wasteful person.
And then what happens in Ecuador?
Here we do not have a superstition with salt,
except for the part if you spill salt you would seem
as a wasteful person, especially, for your mother.
