How to calculate Earfcn:

The carrier frequency in the uplink and downlink is designated by the E-UTRA Absolute Radio Frequency Channel
Number (EARFCN) in the range 0 - 65535. The relation between EARFCN and the carrier frequency in MHz for the
downlink is given by the following equation, NDL is the downlink EARFCN.
FDL = FDL_low + 0.1(NDL – NOffs-DL)
The relation between EARFCN and the carrier frequency in MHz for the uplink is given by the following equation
where, NUL is the uplink EARFCN.
FUL = FUL_low + 0.1(NUL – NOffs-UL)
Note: where FDL_low, NOffs-DL, FUL_low and NOffs-UL are given in the following table

How CDMA Channel Number related to frequency

UPLINK Frequency=825+0.03*(Channel number)

Downlink Frequency=870+0.03*(Channel number)

Ex: Operator A has three channel number 369,410,451 so the corresponding

frequencies will be

For 369
FUL = 825+0.03(369)=836.07
FDL = 870+0.03(369)=881.07

For 410
FUL = 825+0.03(410)=837.3
FDL = 870+0.03(410)=882.3

And difference between two consecutive channels are 1.23 MHZ (837.3-836.07) and channel BW is
1.25 MHz
3G Channel Number related to frequency

The carrier frequency is designated by the UTRA Absolute Radio Frequency Channel
Number (UARFCN). For each operating Band, the UARFCN values are defined as follows:
Uplink: NU = 5 * (FUL - FUL_Offset), for the carrier frequency range FUL_low £ FUL £ FUL_high
Downlink: ND = 5 * (FDL - FDL_Offset), for the carrier frequency range FDL_low £ FDL £ FDL_high
For each operating Band, FUL_Offset, FUL_low, FUL_high, FDL_Offset,, FDL_low and FDL_high are defined
in Table 5.1 for the general UARFCN. For the additional UARFCN, F UL_Offset, FDL_Offset and the
specific FUL and FDL are defined in Table 5.1A.
