world celebrate the birth of Jesus.
When?
• In the UK Christmas is celebrated
on the 25th of December – Jesus’ birthday.

Are you ready for Christmas?
To get ready for Christmas people in the UK:
- sing carols,
- watch nativity plays,
- buy presents,
- decorate their homes,
- send Christmas cards to their family and friends wishing
them „Merry Christmas!”.

White Christmas
• England is warmer than Poland and there is
little snow in winter. English people like snow
and wish for „White Christmas”.

Christmas and makes English people very
happy.
Queen’s Speech
• At 3 o’clock in the afternoon the Queen gives her
Christmas Speech to British people but also to the
people from former English colonies.
