VISBREAKING
The process name of visbreaker refers to the fact that
the process reduces i.e. breaks the viscosity of the residual oil.
The process is mild form of thermal cracking that significantly
lowers the viscosity of heavy crude oil without affecting the boiling
point.
The process is non-catalytic
DELAYED COKING
Delayed coking is a thermal cracking process used in petroleum
refineries to upgrade and convert petroleum residuum (bottoms from
atmospheric and vacuum distillation of crude oil) into liquid and gas
product streams leaving behind a solid concentrated carbon material,
petroleum coke.
Delayed coking is one of the unit process  used in many oil
refineries.

PROPANE DEASPHALTING
Propane deasphalting is a process of recovery of hydrocarbon
distillates from vacuum residue by extracting with liquid propane.
The deasphalting process with liquid propane is  aimed at the use of
oil waste, which is still present in the composition light fractions of
hydrocarbons
Propane deasphalting produces high quality DAO suitable for
LOBS production with limited DAO yield.
