 Circuit sequence number is also called trunk circuit ID.

 How to number the trunk circuit ID for TTBIE?
 The first trunk circuit ID for TTBIE ( port 0 ) =TTBIE group
ID× ( 32×8 )
 The first trunk circuit ID for TTBIE ( port 1 ) =TTBIE group

11
Circuit Sequence Number for FTC

 First FTC board ID:

 The FTC board ID should be given out in unified
manner in one BM.
 The board ID for the first FTC in one BM = number of

BIE groups × 8.
 For example, there are 8 and a half groups of BIE in

one BM. Then the board ID for the first FTC in the
TCSM frame is 72.
 Then circuit sequence number:
 The first circuit sequence number of the FTC board
=FTC Board ID × 32
 For example, for FTC board 72, it's first circuit

sequence number is 2304.

 Part 3 Signaling data configuration
 3.1 Data Configuration for Synchronous
Signaling
 3.2 Data Configuration for A Interface

 3.3 Data Configuration for A interface CCS7
signaling

38
Signaling types on A interface

 Signaling types on A interface:

 Synchronous signaling
 A interface maintenance link
 CCS 7 signaling
 How to configure the tables for
these three types of signaling?

39
3.1 Data Configuration for Synchronous Signaling

 The first timeslot of each E1 on A interface is for

synchronous signaling.
 There is only one related table -[Trunk Circuit Table].
 Suppose there is one BM with 8 and a half BIE groups:
 The starting trunk circuit sequence number on A
interface is 2304 (=9×256).
 The trunk circuit 2304, 2336, 2368, 2390, and etc are
used for synchronous signaling, and must be
configured as "A or Pb interface signaling".

40
One Example

 One Example for A interface synchronous signaling:

41
3.2 Data Configuration for A Interface Maintenance Link

 The last timeslot of each TCSM unit must be for A

interface maintenance link.
 Suppose there is one BM with 8 and a half BIE groups:
 The starting trunk circuit sequence number on A
interface is 2304 ( =9 ×256).
 The trunk circuit 2431 must be configured as "A
interface maintenance link" (=2304 + 127).
 For the same reason, the trunk circuit 2559 must also
be configured as "A interface maintenance link".

42
One Example

 One Example for A interface maintenance signaling:

43
A interface maintenance link

 In special case, the TCSM unit is not full configuration.

 For example, only 2 FTC boards are equipped in one T
CSM unit.
 How to configure "A interface maintenance link" for th
is TCSM?
 First way: Configure the trunk circuit of the 1-st tw
o FTC.
 Second way: We needn`t configure the trunk circuit
of the 3rd and 4th FTC. But we must configure the
last circuit of the last FTC as A interface maintenan
ce link everything the FTC board is absent.

45
CCS7 Signaling Link

 How many CCS7 signaling links can be configured in

one BM?
 Each TCSM unit can only provide one CCS7
signaling link.
 Each BM is always equipped with two E3M board.
 Each E3M can lead out 4 E1 lines with each
connected to one TCSM unit.
 So one BM can provide 8 CCS7 signaling links at
most.

46
CCS7 Signaling Link

 How many CCS7 signaling links can be configured in

the whole BSC system?
 It’s limited by CCS7 signaling system.
 In normal case there is only one signaling link set for
one office direction.
 One signaling link set can contain up to 16 signaling
links.
 So one BSC system can provide 16 CCS7 signaling
links at most.
