Introduction

Bangladesh is among the poorer nations in the world and on the verge of becoming
a failed state. There are so many problems in Bangladesh. If we as a nation want to
become developed we have to face the problems & have to take necessary steps to
overcome the problems. As a Muslim country we can follow the rules & regulations
of Islam to face the problems. Islam is the best guidance all over the
world.

Allah the almighty said in the holy Qur'an, ‘Those who believe and
whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah-indeed it is in
the thought of Allah alone that the heart of man really finds rest-
those who believe and act righteously, joy is for them, and a
blissful home to return to’ ( 13: 28-29)
What is social problem?
The term “social problem” is usually taken to refer
to social conditions that disrupt or damage society—crime, racism,
and the like. ... It focuses on how and why people come to
understand that some conditions ought to be viewed as a social
problem, that is, how they socially construct social problems

What is Islam?

Islam means to achieve peace – peace with God, peace within

oneself, and peace with the creations of God – through wholly
submitting oneself to God and accepting His guidance.
Social Problems in Bangladesh:
Corruption

Corruption in Bangladesh has been a continuing problem. Some

are like:

 Educational corruption
 Political corruption
 Economy corruption
 Systematic corruption
 Business corruption
 Government corruption
 Organization corruption and so on.
Some Causes of Corruption

Poverty , poor lifestyle

Weak Administrative structure

Judicial , legislative & regulatory

Inadequate Framework

Lack of education & social value

Solution of corruption in Islamic point of
view:

As Muslims we strongly believe in the uncertainty of the time of our death, the Day of

Judgment and life after death. Every soul is accountable to Allah for every action that

they have done on this world. The prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) said: “The son of Adam

will not pass away from Allah until he is asked about five things: how he lived his life,

and how he utilized his youth, How did he earn his wealth, how did he spend his

wealth, and what did he do with his knowledge.” {Tirmidhi}

Poverty

Bangladesh is one of the world's most densely populated countries with 150 million
people, 13% of whom live below the national poverty line of US $2 per day. But
Bangladesh's extreme poverty rate dropped to 12.9 percent in 2006 mentioned by
the world bank. The world bank president Jim Young Kim appreciated the major
development of Bangladesh in reducing poverty at a sort time where the poverty
rate dropped to 18.5 percent in 2010 from 44.2 percent in 1991.]Bangladesh is also
making progress in reducing its poverty rate & there is big chance of overcoming
extreme poverty rate by 2030 according to the World bank

On the other hand concept of Islam poverty as bellow:

Islam is especially distinguished for connecting the worldly matters with the
Hereafter, and it confirms that both richness and poverty are a test from Allah to
His Slaves, and a person will be rewarded or punished according to his reaction
The reason of poverty:

poverty might be a pure test from Allah, and it might be a

punishment for some sins, and it could result due to
unemployment.
Poverty has bad consequences: it could lead to many bad social and
moral circumstances, like the spread of theft, bribery, and so forth.
Islam legislated many solutions for poverty, the most important of
which is to be steadfast on the Religion of Allah and encourage
people to work and abandon unemployment.

solutions for poverty as well, is legislating Zakat and encouraging

people to give charity so that the money will not be monopolized by
the rich. The donations by the Muslim Treasury are also another
solution which was practiced during the brilliant ages of the Muslims,
and this has had a good effect on the Muslim society at that time
Unemployment:

Unemployment is a major problem for a

developing country like Bangladesh. The
word employment’ means an occupation
which is productive of wealth.
There are many causes of unemployment
problem in Bangladesh. These are:

6) False sense of dignity

1) Rapid growth of population

2) Backwardness industrialization 7) Disliking for manual labor

3) Lack of capital and technology 8) Inequitable distribution of

national wealth

4) Lack of skill 9) Political turmoil of the

country

5) Lack of education 10) Frequent visit of natural

disasters etc
On the other hand concept of Islam as
bellow:
Islam is the complete code of life. But in the modern era most of the
people ignore all the rules and regulation of Islam. That’s why we fall in
danger, like unemployment problem. It’s a great punish from Allah to
us. If we follow Quran we can overcome this problem. In holly Quran
Allah say that “And Allah has made selling lawful, and has prohibited
riba." (Al-Baqarah 275).
In that Ayat Selling means business or self employment. If we follow the
Ayat in our life than we can create self employment and can remove
the unemployment problem from the country.
Girl’s Rights and Education
In many developing countries girls and women are at a
disadvantage as it relates to education. It is one of the biggest
challenges of development in Bangladesh.

THE BENEFITS OF EDUCATING GIRLS IN DEVELOPING

COUNTRIES
Once all the benefits are recognized, investment in the education of girl’s
maybe the highest-return investment available in the developing world.
 REPRODUCTIVE
 ECONOMIC
 EDUCATION
In the Quran,
“(This is) a Book (the Quran) which We have sent down to you, full of
blessings that they may ponder over its Verses, and that men of
understanding may remember.” (38:29)
It is important to mention that the word “men” in the above verse
refers to humankind as it does so in several other places in the Quran
when God addresses humanity. These and other verses inform the
readers that engaging in critical thinking is a moral obligation on both
men and women.
It is authentic sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (S):
“Seeking knowledge is mandatory for every Muslim.”
From this Hadith we infer that education is not a right but a
responsibility on every Muslim, male or female.”
Corrupted Politics
Another biggest social problem in Bangladesh is corrupted politics. Politics of
Bangladesh is corrupting by many ways.
 NOT ENOUGH ELECTION
 UNPREDICTABLE LEADERS
 UN-EQUALITY

We already know that Islam is A complete system of life and politics is very much
A part of our collective life.

In sura baqara (2:124) the quran says about abraham that divine leadership is not
for transgressors and tyrants. It is for righteous and just people.
In Sura Saad the Quran says
“O, David! Verily we have placed you as a successor
(Khalifa) on the earth, so judge between men with
truth and justice.” (38:26).
David was not only a leader or caliph or prophet but
he was ruler as well. Hence according to the Quran
a ruler must be truthful and just. It is the religious
obligation of a ruler to provide justice to everyone
irrespective of color, cult, class, country and creed.
.
In Sura Al-Nisa The Quran says:
“O you who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger, and those charged
with authority among you” (4:59).
The above cited verses give us the basics of Islamic political morality Practically
speaking, we have no other way but to go for elections and select pious and
just people as our caliphs and leaders. This means that we have to adopt
democracy to run the state. But surely the character of the leadership must be
noble, just and righteous. Islamic democracy based in justice, peace and piety
Conclusively, the duty of an Islamic state is to establish
Salah and Zakah; promote the right and forbid the
wrong (22:44). The state is responsible for the welfare
of all its citizens – Muslims and non-Muslims alike. It
must guarantee the basic necessities of life. All
citizens of the Islamic state shall enjoy freedom of
belief, thought, conscience and speech. Every citizen
shall be free to develop his potential, improve his
capacity, earn and possess.
Conclusion
 Inall urge it can be said that, Bangladesh do
suffer from various social problems, but the
Holy Quran has solution for all. All we need to
do is to strength our faith & follow the holy
book.

If each one of us strength our believe on

Allah(swt) & follow his guidance in the form of
Quran our country will surely overcome the
problems inshallah.
