Field of combustion and pollution is very broad and
touch almost all aspects of our lives.
The science of both combustion and pollution is still
developing and has a long way to go.
It combines heat transfer, thermodynamics,
chemical kinetics, and multiphase turbulent fluid
flow to name a few areas of physics.
The study of pollution includes many of those same
areas with the addition of others like environmental
engineering
Combustion has been the foundation of worldwide
industrial development for the past 200 years
