Training Procedure

Purpose
This procedure is to describe the system adopted in MWSPC to identify training needs and
its satisfaction.
 
Scope
The requirements of this procedure are applied to all personnel within the scope of the
Laboratory of MWSPC.

General Policy

The laboratory at MWSPC regards employees as its greatest asset. To this end, the
company maintains an established employee qualification/training program. All personnel
are classified on the basis of appropriate education, training, skills and experience. Specific
personnel are authorized to perform specific tasks. Records of all training activities are
kept in each employee’s file.
 
Training Procedure
1.0 Training Requirements Review

1.1 The Technical Manager ( officer ) is responsible for identifying


employee-training requirements and needs using form XXXX
Training needs.

The purpose for the review is to identify competency needs for all
personnel
a)operating specific equipment,
b)performing tests, evaluating results,
c)signing test reports and/or certificates,
d)performing any other activities affecting quality.

1.2 Job requirements


Internal audit reports, and corrective action activities determine
employee-training needs.
Each employee is made aware of the relevance and importance of
their activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the
quality objectives.

1.3 Where personnel certification is required, either by regulatory


standards or by the client, the specified personnel certification
requirements are fulfilled.

1.0 Training Requirements Review

1.4 Personnel responsible for opinions and interpretations included in


test reports must have in addition to the appropriate qualifications,
training, skills, experience, and satisfactory knowledge of the testing
carried out, the following:

•Relevant knowledge of the technology used for the manufacturing of


the items tested,

•An understanding of the significance of deviations found with regard


to the normal use of the items concerned.

2.0 Job Descriptions

2.1 The laboratory at MWSPC maintains current job descriptions for managerial,
technical, and key support personnel involved in tests. Job descriptions, at
minimum, include the following:

a. Responsibilities with respect to performing tests


b. Responsibilities with respect to the planning of tests and evaluation of results
c. Responsibilities with respect to method modification and development and
validation of new methods
d. Expertise and experience required
e. Qualifications and training programs
f. Managerial duties
Training Procedure
• 2.0 Qualification/Training Records
– The Quality Manager maintains qualification/training records for each
employee. Records include the following:
• Education
• Skills and experience
• Courses/seminars attended
• Relevant on-the-job training, and retraining as necessary
• Certification(s)
• Relevant authorizations
• Criteria for which authorization is based
• The name of the confirming authority
• The date on which authorization and/or competence is confirmed
