BIRDS
         Bird is vertebrate animals that have feathers
and wings. Birds are the only vertebrate animals
which can fly. Birds have thousands of species that
spread across the world starting from the smallest
birds such as humming bird and the largest birds
such as the ostrich. Although birds are the only
vertebrates that can fly, there is also a kind of bird
that cannot fly like chickens, penguins and ostriches.
        Its body is covered with feathers which have
diverse functions and colors. Bird’s beak has also so
many different forms adapted to their food. For
example, falcons have powerful beaks and sharp
used for tearing shreds of meat while the
hummingbird has a small beak and long used for
sucking honey.

A village is a clustered human

neighborhoods. Villages are

villages can occur. Further, the

My Village
The name of my village is Balabhadrapur.
It is situated on the bank of the Brahmani.
My village is separated from other villages
by the main river on one side and by its
tributary on two other sides. The village is
very old and has a number of special
features. Although it faces flood every year,
the geographical feature of the village has
not altered. It is believed that Lord
Balabhadra who is the village deity
protects this village in all kinds of disaster.
Another specialty of this village is that
there is no Brahmin family here. All the
families bear the surname of Sahu.
Although they are weavers by caste, there
is no sign of weaving. They are farmers.
