Definition of Instructional Media

Definition!
a medium is a means of communications and source of information. Derived from the
Latin word meaning "between", the term refer to anything that carries information bet
ween a source and a receiver (Heinich, 2005).
Instructional media when they carry out messages with an instructional purpose. The
purpose of instructional media is to facilitate communication and enhance learning (N

Computer Instructional Media

Definition
Heinich, 2005

Computer-based learning media is the use of computers as a medium for delivering learning inf
ormation, question exercises, feedback, and student answer scores.
It has ability to control and integrate a wide variety of media – still pictures, graphics and movin
g images, as well as printed information. The computer can also record, analyze, and react to st
udent responses that are typed on a keyboard or selected with a mouse.

Problem Rosa a new teacher was chosen to attend a workshop on Learn
ing & Teaching organized by the district education department.
In the workshop she was exposed to many things such as learn
ing theories, teaching methods, classroom management and as
sessment process. At the end of the workshop each participant
needs to deliver a talk according to topic given randomly to the
m. The topic given to Rosa was Smart School. As a curriculum o
fficer how would you help Rosa?.
