THE ORIGINS Of SURABAYA

One day in the Java Sea, there was fighting between a shark(Sura) and a
crocodile(Baya). The shark and the crocodile often had a fights for their
hunting areas . Bofth of them are strong and fierce, they always fought
many times.There was no winner, in the ended of the fighting.
Finally both of them make agreement. They share areas into 2 areas.
Sura takes place in the water and also prey the marine animals. Besides,
Baya takes place in the land and prey the animals there.The border of
their territory is a shoreline.And no one can rejected this agreement.
 After, Sura and baya make Agreement, nothing fought again by the end
of time. Both of them are peace and agree for that agreement. But, no longer
peace. One day,Sura dont have food in his territory. Sura start hunting food
in river and lake. Sura also hunting animal that drinking on river. Sura
hunting by silent without Baya knows
One day, Baya wondered why animal beast decreasing . Baya find out
the reason of problem. Finally , Baya saw Sura hunting food in his territory.
It’s make Baya angry.
Finally Sura and Baya fight again. The quarrels between the shark and
the crocodile ended with a fierce fight. The fight this time was bigger the
other fights that they had done. They both had still equal power. They bit,
they hit, and they kicked each other. And in an instant, the river was turned
to red because their blood. They both were heavily wounded. The shark
surrendered and returned to the sea. The crocodile stood still and felt
satisfied because he could defend his territory.
* However, not long after that, they both died.They died
because of severe injuries from former fight. And to
the remember the fight between the shark and
crocodile , the place where the great fight happened
was named “surabaya”. Surabaya was taken from
word “Sura” means a shark and “Baya” means a
crocodile.
