Meningitis is a bacterial or viral infection of
the fluid that surrounds the brain and spinal
cord and causes swelling. In simple words, it is
an inflammation of the meanings. Meanings
are the three membranes that wrap the brain
and spinal cord. The common causes of
Meningitis are Bacterial and Viral infections.
Others include Cancer, drug allergies,
chemical irritation etc. Viral and Bacterial
Meningitis are contagious in nature and can be
transmitted through coughing or sneezing.
There are 3 types of Meningitis Viral, Bacterial
and Fungal. Viral Meningitis is the most
common one and Bacterial Meningitis is
considered to be the most dangerous.
Prevention
To prevent the transmission of Viral Meningitis do the following:
Bacterial Meningitis
It is the most deadly type of Meningitis among all three. Usually, patients recover
from Meningitis but permanent disabilities can happen from the infection.
Causes and Transmission Symptoms
Causes of this type of Meningitis vary The symptoms just like causes vary in different age
in different age groups. N. groups. In young babies, doctors look for a soft spot on

It is the rarest type of Meningitis
among all three. It is caused by a
fungus and spread to the brain and
spinal cord.

display signs like Fever, stiff neck, nausea,
confusion etc.
