PROBLEM STATEMENT
• On comparing different human resource papers, it is notable that
the literature does not divulge much information about the
treatment of arbitration of employee performance with
organizational performance. This has left a gap in managing
employee performance effectively and thus adequate research
has to be carried out to enable modern and relevant techniques
of implementing human resource practice
Purpose of the Study

• The purpose of this research was to explore


the impact of human resource practices on
employee performance.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

• To establish extent to which Human Resource


Practices affect employee performance.
• To determine how human resource relationships
influence employee performance.
• To examine the effects of human resource practices
have on the employees’ performance.
RESEARCH QUESTIONS

• To what extent do Human Resource Practices


affect employee performance?

• How do human resource relationships


influence employee performance?
 
• What are the effects of human resource
practices on the employees?
SIGNIFICANCE
• The study aimed to evaluate 3 human resource
practices. I.e. Compensation, promotion and
performance evaluation. This research was significant
because it evaluated the impact of human resource
practices in the NGO world.
MEHODOLOGY

The methods of data collection for this study


include;
• Survey
• Interview
• Documentary Review

• Questionnaire
• Interview guide
RESEARCH DESIGN
• This study will utilize the quantitative approach which will be
used to develop the hypothesis of the study based on
variables that enable empirical investigation of the statement
through statistical techniques.
• The study will also utilize non-probability sampling in which
the sample selection will not be based on random methods. In
addition, this research will utilize purposive sampling as the
method to aid in selection of the sample from the target
population of Action Africa Help - International.
POPULATION AND SAMPLE SIZE

• -International which is located in Kampala. It has 100


employees both office staff and field staff with vast
academic specializations. The company employees
include skilled personnel, semi-skilled and casuals.
• The sample size for this study will be 80 respondents
DATA ANALYSIS
• Quantitative data analysis. Quantitative data analysis will
involve use of both descriptive and inferential statistics in the
Statistical Package for Social Scientists (SPSS). Descriptive
statistics entails determination of measures of central tendency
such as mean, mode, median; measures of dispersion such as
range, variance, standard deviation; frequency distributions;
and percentages.
• Qualitative data analysis. This will involve both thematic and
content analysis, and, is based on how the findings relate to the
research questions. Content analysis is used to edit qualitative
data and reorganize it into meaningful shorter sentences.
VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY
• Index (CVI) wail be calculated in order to establish the validity of the
questionnaire. The researcher will use the following formula to establish
validity of the research instruments as seen below.

• The questionnaires will be pretested on 6 respondents and the results will


be computed using the Statistical Package for Social Scientists (SPSS). To
ensure reliability of the questionnaires, the Cronbach’s Alpha for Likert-
Type Scales test was performed.
