BADMINTON ?
Badminton is a sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across
a net which two people play opposite each other for a single game,
and for doubles games use two pairs (four people) that are opposite

HISTORY OF BADMINTON

The game probably developed in Ancient Egypt some 2000

years ago, but is also mentioned in India and the People's
Republic of China. Badminton is also widely known by the
world community in medieval England, a traditional game of
local children called battledore and shuttlecocks. At that time,
the children would usually use oars / sticks and work together
to keep the shuttlecock in the air and prevent it from touching
the ground.
Badminton was created by British army officers who were in Pune,
India in the 19th century when they added the net and played it
competitively. Then soldiers brought the game back to England in the
1850s. And in 1877 the draft regulation was first written by the Bath
Badminton Club.

Then in 1893 the British Badminton Association was formed and also
its first international championship was in 1899 with the All England
Championship.

After that badminton became a popular sport in the world, especially

in the East and Southeast Asia region.
