Sixth grade statistical project

1. Students will design a one question

survey in order to be applied to 60 people.

2. The answers for this statistical variable

will be organized in a frequency table (they
will fill out the tally column, frequency
column, cumulative frequency column and
relative frequency column).

3. Students will find the mean, median,
mode and range of the statistical research
and will interpret the outcomes.

4. They will present the information using

the graph they consider more appropriate
in order to write three conclusions.

5. Students will describe the statistical
variable used, the number of the sample
used, the type of statistical variable used,
and (if they used a quantitative variable),
describe the type of quantitative variable
used.

6. The project can be developed in Word,
PDF, PowerPoint or Prezi format. It is the
student’s choice.
