 CHAPTER 1

THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND

INTRODUCTION

Suicide is the shortcut to get rid of every

problem in one’s life. But usually brave heart
people don’t follow this way to solve their
problems suicide shows that the committer was
not capable enough to fight with problems and
ended up the life.
 He/she was coward suicide shows that the
committer was completely out of positive
thoughts and only most negative thoughts were
left behind. Suicide is the third-leading cause
of death among millennials. We are a
generation coping with dangerous levels of
stress, stagnation, and limited resources to
address suicide risk factor.
Our generation engages in behaviors fraught
with risk such as drugs, drinking under the
influence, and emotional health among college
students continues to fall year after year.
Suicide is when people direct violence at
themselves with the intent to end their lives ,
and they die because of their actions.
Its best to avoid the use of terms “committing
suicide” or a “successful suicide” when
referring to a death by suicide as these terms
often carry negative connotations “People
assess you based on what you do as opposed to
how you feel about what you do”
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
This study aims to show the perception of
millennials about suicide in Carlos F. Gonzales
High School.
Specifically, the study seek to answer the
following questions

1. what are the profile of respondents?

2. what are the possible reason of suicide?
3. what are the possible cause that can
triggered suicidal person?
SCOPE AND DELIMITATION
The study focuses only to the students have a
perception of millennials about suicide in
Carlos F. Gonzales High School. Associated in
this study the grade 10 students (NARRA)
students, range (15-17) years old that
perception of millennials about suicide it
analyzes the positive and the negative effects in
Junior students.
CHAPTER 2

METHOD
RESEARCH DESIGN

The research design that the researcher will use in

descriptive type of research method. By using this
method, the researcher is able to find facts which are
appropriate and significant to the study it describe the
data and characteristics about what is being studied.
Descriptive research design is a valid method
for researching specific subjects and as a
precursor to more quantitative studies while
there are some valid concerns (BEN
STEPHENSON) about the statistical validity as
long as the limitation are understood by the
researcher,
This type of study in an valuable scientific tool.
Specifically, the goal of using descriptive
method is to determine the perception of
millennials about suicide in Carlos F. Gonzales
High School.
DATA COLLECTION

The survey instrument use in this research is

the researcher made questionnaire. It is the
appropriate instrument for faster collection of
data needed in the study.
The questionnaire is made by the researchers
based on the questions raised in the statement
of the problem. The questionnaire it will be
first administered to experts such as teachers
and professor. It will also be check by non-
respondents to know the validation of
questionnaire.
