Sahagún, officially San Juan de

Sahagún and known nationally as the


cultural city, is a municipality located in
the Department of Córdoba, Colombia,
founded in 1776 by Antonio de la Torre
y Miranda, was declared as a
municipality in 1834. It has an
extension of 992 km2 and a population
of 90,014 inhabitants.
The research indicates that the urban
development plan must contemplate and
prioritize the destination of unique and
exclusive spaces for cyclists but due to lack
of resources these are not available causing
mobility chaos.
The problem is the lack of cycle tracks, lack
of sign lighting and the risk of accidents with
vehicles for that reason. it is pretended to
adapt an exclusive bike-only lane, according
to the Secretary of Mobility in the main
urban roads, interconnecting all the
neighborhoods of the city with the center.
The decrease in traffic in neighborhoods, with
areas of 30 to 20 km / h that allow
pedestrians and cyclists to be given priority.
Secure parking for bicycles in key points of
the town.
