VISA Process
• F-1 Student Visa is required to study in United
States
• Apply at least 3 months before the university
degree Programme begins.

• Create an online profile, and pay the visa fee
• Schedule an online appointment at the
embassy or consulate in Pakistan to give
biometrics and attend the interview.
• Biometrics are, basically, extra identification
(e.g. fingerprinting and pictures)

• The F-1 Student Visa from United States is
valid for up to course duration + 2 months
extra and need to renewed every year.
• Visa Fee: 360 USD online on location at a visa
application center in Pakistan, or through a
bank transfer.
• Health insurance of Pakistani students is not
required for the American visa

• Valid Passport and all older passports you might
have.
• The submission confirmation page for Form DS-
160.
• Visa fee receipt.
• The appointment letter of the student
visa interview – original and a copy.
• The payment receipt for the SEVIS fee I-901 –
original and a copy.
 Supporting Documents
• Original degree and mark sheets
• Test scores for exams like GMAT, TOEFL or GRE
 Financial documents
• Bank statements proving that you have
sufficient resources to support your
education fees and stay in the US.
• Scholarship details, if you have any.
• Loan approval letter from the bank, if you
have taken an educational loan to support
your studies in the US.
 Other supporting documents
• Character certificate from the police, stating
that candidate has clean criminal record.
• Health certificate from an authorized doctor,
stating that candidate is fit to travel and stay in
the US.
• Health insurance for US visitors is much
recommended by experts.
